About Borjomi

Borjomi City is located in south-central part of Georgia on 800-1000 meters above the sea level, within the Mtkvari river gorge. Borjomi is a balneological and climatic resort famous of its unique mineral waters.

The largest part of the resort area is surrounded by picturesque mountainous. The Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park that spreads over 700 square km and is set within the stunning valleys of the southern Caucasus is one of the Europe’s largest national parks. The park still retains its diverse flora and fauna.

The main and special wealth of Borjomi City is the thermal-mineral waters of volcanic origin. By the rich mineral composition of Borjomi water it is considered as the most pure mineral water in the world. Borjomi is famous of Summer Palace of Russian royal Romanovs’ Family that was built in 1890-s in the beautiful Park of Likani west of Borjomi by the son of Russian viceroy of Caucasus Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich Romanov.

The famous mountain ski resort Bakuriani is located just a few kilometers from the city. The climate of mountains surrounding Bakuriani cures various diseases.
